Geico Powersports Sports Marketing:

Situation: Geico, a well-known insurance brand, was looking to promote its new motorcycle insurance division, Geico Powersports.

Objective: Geico Powersports wanted to increase awareness of their division and its policies while driving sales of insurance policies to motorcycle owners.

Concept: Weinstock Marketing devised a sports marketing campaign where Geico Powersports would work with the NHRA (National Hot Rod Association) to familiarize motorcycle owners and the large NHRA demographic with the new insurance division.

Details: The sports marketing campaign included:

  • Sponsoring popular NHRA driver Karen Stoffer
  • At-track displays
  • Interactive fan booths
  • PR media featuring Karen Stoffer

Results: The campaign increased sales within the Geico Powersports division. Thousands of NHRA fans were engaged each weekend and their consumer information was captured for follow-up marketing.
